9.75m2 classical French ceramic floor with double borders – early 20th century

SOLD   SOLD   SOLD   A small, classical French ceramic floor with a same size and half size border tile configuration, reclaimed from the kitchen of a turn of the century town house in Amiens, northern France. The floor surface totals 9.75m2 / 105 sq ft.

The principal field tile and main border tile are 15.5cm sq and the floor offers a simple and subtle geometry in a palette is beige, greys, mushroom and off-white. The floor has cleaned well and is in good condition, some tiles displaying small groutable nibbles and chips and doubtless owing to the batch production methods in the early part of the 20th century there is some variation in the colours of the tiles, as can be seen in the high resolution photographs.

Being ceramic they are suitable for internal or external use and can be used with under-floor heating systems.
