c.6m2 antique geometric Belgian ceramic floor (CE113)

A small, 6m2/65 sq ft, antique ceramic hallway floor relaimed from a house close to Cambrai in France but in fact a Belgian floor produced by Gilliot Hemiksem c.1910-1920 (the tiles being marked ‘H’ on their reverse).

The palette for the 14cm sq tiles is cool in tones of grey, charcoal, mid blue and white and the design a simple and pure single tile geometric tessellation complimented by a three flower headed half size border tile.

The tiles are in good condition and have cleaned well, arriving ready to relay and can be laid inside or outside of the house. Being ceramic and highly fired they are excellent conductors and retainers of heat and can be installed with underfloor heating systems.

SMALL BORDERS – 90 plus 3 corners – 0.9m2/9.7 sq ft or 12.7 linear metres / 42 linear ft.
