Art Nouveau excellence in a hallway and bathroom in London (CI2)

This was one of the finest examples of an early French art nouveau ceramic encaustic floor that we have found and restored, dating c.1895.

It had been re-laid in a hallway and bathroom in central London, complete with its original borders and very much at home with the choice of period wallpaper and bathroom fixtures and fittings…
