Warmth and practicality in a Luxembourg townhouse
An antique French carreaux de ciment floor of 20cm square tiles has been relaid to great effect in this Luxembourg home.
In a high traffic area the tiles are a low maintenance solution for wet and muddy feet and family pets. But practicality can also be beautiful and in this case the burnt orange and offwhite palette of the tiles compliment so well the antique parquet in the soft light the floor to ceiling windows offer.
A fine delivery of a room space that is warm and relaxing but also highly practical, linking house and garden.
